Girl Scouts Go Hollywood

Senior Troop 8282May 3, Girl Scouts from mid-town Mobile celebrated the end of the school year with a Hollywood themed party.

Troops were honored for their progression and growth by bridging to the next Girl Scout level. Bridging is a defining moment when a girl becomes aware of her achievements and is ready for new adventures and responsibilities. Senior Troop 8282 bridged to adult members after completing 12 years of Girl Scouting.

Nine girls from Junior Troop 8286 and Noelle of Junior Troop 8007 earned their Bronze Awards. The Girl Scout Bronze Award, the highest honor a Junior Girl Scout can earn, requires her to learn the leadership and planning skills necessary to follow through on a project that makes a positive impact on her community.

The 2008 Mobile County Junior Miss, Alex, and the first-runner up from Baldwin County, Natalie, interviewed girls on the red carpet as they entered the room. Girls had photo ops with a cardboard display of Zach Efron from Disney’s High School Musical.
